Diwali n Baby shower ...  High lights of the past month !!! Photos say it all ... Now mummy singh has come so busy with her ... Time is flying , but the wait is getting me impatient !! Thanksgiving weekend and potluck has come ... Hemen is coming today so let's c what happens over the weekend ...

Past few weeks

Not much has happened since my glucose test. It came back normal. Had my 30th bday which wa quite nice with tracy on web cam. Then I think most days went in preparing for baby - making lists, buying stuff, re arranging rooms ,roaming around. With the baby twisting n turning most nites have been ...urgh ... sleepless but thats ok. 32nd week turns out baby is heavy n the N.P was quite rude but shub's mom dad were sweet n now Im not so worried bout c sec.

Im scared everything is going to change drastically n m quite hormonal. Hot is too hot, walking is a pain and shub n I have our off days...

Dussehra passed by with anokha n visit to temple. KArvachath has been spent organizing/ cleaning kitchen n buffalo w.w.

Now at bowling rink with cedrick.

Danny hit me today but it's my own fault for needling him. Need to learn thr lesson.

Greencard got done, shubs. .ine is stuck thanks to dr.patel n his bad medical vaccination form. Lets c when mine comes. Hopefully b4 mom dad come.

Shub's mom had heart murmur scare n numbness in hand n chest pain. Little tensed bt that but God willing all will remain fine for baby's arrival

Magic of cold hands n love

Day b4 yesterday shub first time felt baby move...thanks to cold hand. :))

Been coming l8. Turns out was searching for my bday gift. I happened to mention netbook desire n lo n presto thats what he got me...

Trying to get him to return it, even though I love it like crazy n he has all these logical reasons for keeping it. Now he's going on bt returning his watch (SKAGEN), so that I keep this.

I am truly blessed !

Letter to Baby Singh at 7 months

7 months ago I found you will be coming... Life changed in that moment itself. I remember jumping for joy, not being able to contain my excitement waiting for ur dad to come home.

He came n I broke the news. Life chjanged in that moment. I had shifted the whole house from Hamptons to Chelsea then bore a cold. The new house had a number that made me believe you wud be coming.

Within a few weeks every symtom in the book n more HIT me like a freight train. Your dad began eating out, with me sleeping most of the day n we realized ways in which to handle this new situation while venting our personal frustrations.

The weekend at lale ANNA, the immense concern from all, the pampering n saturday outings made the first 3,4 months bearable.

3rd month had us see u on the screen. Life changed in that moment. Your dancing hands, face, n springy legs left us in awe.

Then came the 5th month. We weren't sure till the last moment but you weren't shy bout showing daddy ,you were just like him n after that it was just amazement. I was kinda upset since the closeness to thw monitor didnt let me see your sweet form.

The 6th/7th month brought visits from
Hemen unlcle, Sheetal aunty n Vandana nani, which kept mommy daddy quite pre occupied, pleasantly so. The HUEGENOT brigde waters n pool were gr8.

Then also came the haemoglobin n glucose scare, which have mommy worried now but I Know with ur dad by our side, we'll be fine.... cant wait to see u in another 2 months...

Lab Corp

Sitting in Lab Corp for the GES. Diabetes test. Pain in my arm from the needles n hunger on my mind. Came at 8.30 n still in process... exhausted!!

When in fact still cant beleive m expecting...ME! who has a long way to go in growing up.

Got news from Mathew today that our EAD may have gone thru. Thank the LORD. Now just have to wait n watch what future holds for us.

Masi Masa Visit

Masi Mausaji came ... Baby got many gifts. Baby outfits from Jay Jazmine. Bedding set from bhaiya bhabhi. Black pearl/Gold moti bracelet, sari for me, shirt for shubham, mangalsutra set and bangles for me and 500 bucks for baby.

Spent afternoon cooking. They came. Had full lunch then talked till night when we had biryani and then watched movie. Pav bahji was prepared the day later and had the god bharai then talked to mom for a couple of hours. Me getting more and more tired by the day. Then night saw Rocket Singh. Next morning was up at 3 am, worried I guess. Masi got up by 7.30 to do work but we talked till 11 when shub got up and we went to Anokha for lunch and then to the bridge where masi and me sat on bench while masa and shub went to the bridge for walk. Then evening, ordered pizza / buffalo wings after talking to mom. Next morning masi left. Saw two more movies - Wake up Sid and A Wednesday.

The day masi masa came, got news bout glucose being high 57 on 40 and haemoglobin low being 9.6 on 11 . Will be going for the 3 hour test tmorrow morning. Just praying and hpoing . Have been on strict diet since got the news .Am quite worried. Now stairs are a no no and diet is changed. Feel like I've been grounded.

Finger printing/Chesapeake bay

Shub took leave for finger printing which was a surprisingly good experirnce n quick too... no attitude or long lines at the centre.

After; we drove along chesapeake bay bridge n took pics... poor shub was sooo sleepy as was i , due to lack of sleep thx to peeing n for him the desire to get up early for work which was shut down during the day nyway... hmph!

came back after 9 hrs ( 9 to 6 ) n went swimming, came home n had khichda n cabbage bhaji...

exhausted but a pleasant day with just the two of us with music, talks, drive, swimming n light food ( for a change)

house empty again... abhi bhaiya called n said we SHUD come doen to washington... lets c how finger printing on 1st works now...

till then enjoying fridge full of food n lazying...shub is chillaxing too, n pammpering me equal to nyone... love the way he holds me in water taking away all my weight n giving me every pleasure, massage or joy... love him!! nothing is possible without him,..

Driving around

Awesome mausam... cool winds touching my skin as I walk around... wada pav wt chutney...slurp!

Did grocery shopping for sheetal's visit n got 3 frames for shub to choose for ced/emy's anni gift... loved driving around... kinda tired but relaxingly so!

kinda proud of my driving skills ;)

Hemen/Neha visit weekend

Got deliciously tired with the slow rapids at PONY PASTURE, James river. Shub is still super excited about the body rafting he did.

Hemen n Nehas impromptu trip was amazing... late night talks, diner, water fun, anokha food , 12 hour sleep n then... spent the night till 4 am with headache thanks to preggo no sun while outing ... :(

Boredom Seeping in

Hmmm ... This weekend was chill... We shivered with restless boredom finding simple ways to escape the montony ..

Saturday had me getting up early. I get up volunterily by 6.30 am these days and with each mornign wonder how long before I will be doing this unwillingly. Read " A reliable wife ", had bath, breakfast then sat online and then once shub was up got dressed to go otu for mediterranean food... Came back slept for 2+ hours while shub spoke to rajas and working on his " House Plan " project . Got up, called tracy and discussed her issues and then had pani puri and watched " Law Abiding Citizen " . After that shub went back to project and I surfed tv till I got bored out of my sleepy eyes...

Sunday was pretty much the same. Finished " Undomestic Goddess ". Shub got up early but we ahd nothing better to do. He threw the garbage and got back to his project and mua, continued reading " U.G" which on completion marked our exit for lunch to " Tara thai " and then was the cozy long drive, the end of which had me dozing.

It's winter and our life is a big comma these days. Nothing much to do outside, unless you want to spend a tonne of money or freeze to death. We are equally bored busy with our blogging and projects respectively, allowing days to pass by with smiles and laughter of frustration ...

Going to lunch out lead to a half an hour discussion and then once there, we had a cool discussion during lunch ... Talk is rare now I guess ...

Valentino, my cuteee bunny !! :)

Happy since last evening. Shub had a great time at work. He was so excited. The client really loved his team's presentation and there were praises all around. Appreciatoin was falling like manna in the form of mails. He was so happy, it was infectious. He enjoyed with loads of beer and a grilled cheese/tomato/olive sandwich.

Myself saw 5 episodes of vampire diaires and had maggi and bbq chips. The rest of the time watched star screen 2010 and enjoyed.

Today was even better. Morning got up and was in bed with " reliable wife for most of the morning" and then had bath. Shub was working while I sat online and saw sandy after almost 1+ years on webcam. Really great to tsee her. I miss her so much.

Then we went to Ukrops and had fried chicken from the top floor where I forgot my purse and ran back to get it. SHubham was like, how wonderfull you run !! I should hide ur bag more often < me rolling eyes > Did a bit of shopping grocery and shub got me the lovely cute pink bunny... It's so totally adorable...

On the way home, saw the mobile library and that had me super excited as well. It was so totally cool.. Got " The first family " and then went to the post box and got the mail ... The republicans are idiots, sending theri OBAMA SURVEY , which totally sucks....

Thus proven : life is a series of ups and downs ... Till yesterday morning was so upset about uncle and now am happy as can be again ... Wonder what will happen next.... look out in these pages ... :)

Today heard about phuphaji/uncle's lung cancer. Funny thing is I knew about it yesterday and totally blanked it out till today when amita didi called. I don't even know what to think or feel.

Went to see MNIK and cried buckets the whole second half. Morning did maha shivratri puja, then had lunch at 4 pm and then fries in the night and burger after 12 at night.

During the movie, remembered the scene at Jodha Akbar when the two women were fighting and someone shouted for them to SHUTUP !! :)) Not to mention the Fool's Gold we saw befoer it, in order to catch JA.

Snow tomorrow again !!!!! :(

So where did I leave off ?? Last two weekends we were snow stormed in and it got really Boring. The monotony of our lives is eating up at us. I'm unusually restless and biting shub's head off. He cannot be liking me very much these days, but I appreciate him for all of it any way. I only hope he knows that. Plans are in process of going out of town . Lets c if any of it works out.

Last weekend I made tandoori chicken, mushoroom peas pulao and daal tadka which was followed by series of Lost episodes and more boredom. Got the photos I'd given for printed and was upset coz I can't find where anything is anymore .... ( hence the chid chid ! )

Today, I did the laundary organized shub's drawer, the main walk in , the secondary walk in and threw off LOTS of papers ruthlessly. So, it was a productive day all in all.

Back from Hiatus

Well, it's been a month since we have come back. Jan 7th night we reached US, struggled through the railway station at Penn for the luggage transport ( met a scary man who offered to life the luggage instead of the princess ie me .. said, a woman should only give birth to babies :p ) After all the work went to TGIF and had amazing food and drinks and then sat for 7 hours in the amtrack.

Reached home relatively easily and then spent another hour clearing the things, cleaning the toilet, had pizza and went to bed.

Relaxed a few days, discussed actually shifting vs. staying here in the Hamptons and after a little looking around settled on moving to Chelsea rather hesitantly.

As luck would have it, after pondering INTENSELY about to stay near ced's house or near a broken fence, both of which went away the next day when we went. Then coincidently, we fell upon the house name 8614 and I was amazed at the number scheme relating to my 874 of college and 123874 employee id at shaya. That and the kitchen being on left with the level backyard had me hooked.

Since then the usual routine is involved and i'm counting days. Have to relate my India trip details here too. Have just got back to blogging and cooking Indian properly. So far, have done utappa, dosas, white sauce chinese, and cooking subzis in the lohe ki kadhai...

Well more updates later ... We've been together quite often these days and it's damned good too ;) hehehe ...

Mom's magic jack has been put up and she calls pretty much every day and I as usual dont have must to say . Kuch kaho toh mushkil nahi kaho toh mushkil ... What do i takl bout every day ? Kya banaya? Kya kya kiya ?? Now that's weird if the only other thing we've done is .. ahem ahem ;)

Shubham got a choclate fudge yesterday ... and it was to DIe for ... Saw ' 4 christmases / harry potter half blood ' this week and tuesday we had gone for thai. Got high on Cold Saki and it was awesome fun in the cold with the snow falling :)
